Muse Magazine

Two more of my drawings are being published in the upcoming 2012 edition of Muse magazine. One of the drawings is on my Deviant Art page. It is drawing of my protagonist Sawaporn playing chess with death. This is a reference to Ingmar Bergman's film "The Seventh Seal" (1957). Sawaporn has replaced the actor Max Von Sydow in my drawing.

The second picture has not been uploaded to the Internet yet. It is a scene from my fifth issue with no dialogue. It is Sawaporn sitting in her stairwell with a bleeding lip and pepper spray in her eyes and a sad facial expression.

I have been listening to the album "Tinderbox" (1986) by Siouxsie And The Banshees a lot lately along with early Cocteau Twins and randomly a Chinese new wave/synth-punk band called Queen Sea Big Shark.

Here is the song "This Unrest" by Siouxsie And The Banshees. This is one of my favorite songs from my favorite Siouxsie And The Banshees album. I randomly discovered this album back in August of 2004 in a local music shop.

Zappa You Doing?

I finished my fourth installment in the Atheist Thai Girl series. It is 34 pages long. I still have to go back and finish the art on 9 of the pages. Lately, I have been trying to organize the details of the Thai woman's life before the moment the series begins in her adulthood just after arriving in America.

I am also trying to plan out the fifth installment in the series. I have multiple ideas, but I am having trouble picking one.

Anyways, I had four drawings published in a local community college magazine called "Muse." I received a free copy of the magazine at its release party. The magazine costs seven dollars for anyone who did not submit art to it.

I am currently listening to "We're Only In It For The Money" (1967) by Frank Zappa/The Mothers Of Invention
